Delta-sleep-inducing peptide is a performance-enhancing peptide studied for its effects on sleep, injectable, subcutaneous. Delta-sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a neuropeptide tied to animal EEG sleep activity; its human sleep role is weak. Shows preclinical antiepileptic activity.

Delta-sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a neuropeptide that when infused into the mesodiencephalic ventricle of recipient rabbits induces spindle and delta EEG activity and reduced motor activities. As an unapproved research peptide with no regulatory approval for human therapeutic use, it is prohibited by WADA at all times under category S0 (non-approved substances).

Mechanism of action

A neuropeptide named for inducing delta EEG sleep activity in animals, though its own link to human sleep is weak and poorly characterized. Shows preclinical antiepileptic activity.
